Overview:
We are hiring multiple Lead Instructors to deliver engaging and skill-building enrichment activities for children and youth. This role includes facilitating programs such as cooking, academic enrichment, physical education, or other hands-on activities designed to inspire creativity, teamwork, and personal growth. Each lead instructor will work a maximum of 29 hours per week, making this a great opportunity for individuals passionate about youth development and with flexible schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead enrichment courses or activities tailored to children and youth (e.g., cooking, academic subjects, or physical education).
  • Provide clear and engaging instructions to help participants learn new skills and build confidence.
  • Create a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment where participants feel encouraged to grow.
  • Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during activities.
  • Adapt programming to meet the diverse needs of individual or group participants.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging participation and enthusiasm.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate programming and share best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance and participant progress.
  • Act as a role model by demonstrating professionalism, leadership, and positive behavior.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children or youth in an educational or recreational setting.
  • Knowledge or skills in one or more enrichment areas, such as cooking, physical fitness, or academic subjects.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with a passion for youth development.
  • Ability to engage and motivate children and youth in group settings.
  • Flexibility, creativity, and enthusiasm for leading activities.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in education, youth development, recreation, or a related field.
  • Experience in program facilitation or instruction.

Schedule:

This is a part-time role with a maximum of 29 hours per week. Work schedules will vary based on program needs, typically including mornings or afternoons during the week.
