Willingboro Township to Honor Fallen Heroes During Memorial Day Observance

Post Date:05/20/2026 2:25 PM

On Monday, May 25th, the Township of Willingboro will pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country during the Township’s annual Memorial Day Observance.

The ceremony will take place on Monday, May 25th at 11:00 a.m. at Millcreek Park and will bring together residents, veterans, community leaders, and families in remembrance of those who gave their lives defending the freedoms we cherish today.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Dr. Maurice A. Mimms, Sr., whose distinguished military service and commitment to community leadership will help guide this meaningful tribute to our nation’s fallen heroes.

During the observance, the Township will also take a special moment to recognize and honor the loved ones of community residents who served our nation with courage and sacrifice.

“Memorial Day is a solemn reminder of the extraordinary sacrifice made by the men and women of our armed forces,” said Dwayne Harris, Township Manager. “As a community, we are home to many veterans and their families so this is an opportunity to not only honor the memory of the fallen, but also to support the families and loved ones who continue to carry their legacy forward.”

Residents are encouraged to attend and join the Township in paying tribute to the fallen through reflection, gratitude, and remembrance.
