Effective, July 7, 2026, the Township established an updated process and policy regarding the process for requests for special events.

This policy explains how Special Events are reviewed, approved, and managed in Willingboro Township. Its goal is to provide a fair, consistent, and easy-to-understand process for anyone planning to host a Special Event.

The policy is designed to:

• Help protect the health, safety, and well-being of residents and visitors.

• Ensure Township parks, buildings, streets, and other public spaces are used safely and responsibly.

• Improve coordination among Township departments so events are well organized.

• Provide clear expectations and a straightforward application process for individuals, businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations.

Willingboro Township will administer this policy fairly and without regard to the content or viewpoint of an event. The Township is committed to respecting the constitutional rights of individuals and organizations, including the right to free speech and peaceful assembly, while also protecting public resources and maintaining a safe, orderly, and enjoyable community for everyone.
