UPDATE: Online Public Notice Changes

Public Notice Posting Update

Beginning March 1, 2026, state law requires all municipalities to post their public notices directly on their official municipal websites.

From January 1 through February 28, 2026, municipalities must continue to publish public notices in an official newspaper, as currently required by law.

Effective March 1, 2026, municipalities will no longer be required to publish public notices in an official newspaper. Instead, all required public notices will be posted on the municipal website. While municipalities may still choose to publish notices in other locations, the municipal website will serve as the minimum and primary location for public notice postings.

Residents are encouraged to regularly visit the municipal website to stay informed about meetings, ordinances, resolutions, and other important public information.
